The Mountain View online search giant, Google has rolled out an update for its Android browser, Chrome Beta which reportedly only works with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices. The low-key update has apparently improved quite a number of things and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store if you don’t already have Chrome Beta on your Ice Cream Sandwich powered Android device. On top of adding support for 31 languages, the update brings features such as a desktop website option, adding bookmarks to the home screen, apps handling links with Chrome and support for proxies.

Another thing which has been improved by the latest update is that users will be able to download files to their devices and ‘complex text layouts’ is now also supported.  On top of that, Chrome also now supports old style YouTube embeds that can be played in the native YouTube app by Google for Android devices. Apart from all the new features and changes comes the slew of bug fixes which are contained in most app updates nowadays. If you haven’t already tried out Chrome Beta and you’re using an Ice Cream Sandwich powered Android device, head on over to the Google Play Store to check it out for yourself.
