I can’t think of the last time I went a while on the computer without checking something or other out on Wikipedia at least once. For mobile users, it is normal to prefer the app for Android or iOS given the quick speeds and lack of graphics which are on-demand if needed. Until now, the BlackBerry PlayBook has not been privileged to an official app which performs the informational research service. Now however, a bright spark has shown up in what has become a dark year for the Canadian company behind the PlayBook, RIM.

Wikipedia has officially announced its app for the PlayBook. Nowadays, more and more developers are stepping away from developing for the device but apparently the demand was sufficient for the editable search engine to be created for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The app offers features that allow users to search for related articles, open them in a browser, various language integration, search capabilities and customization of text size.
