BlackBerry which recently announced that it wanted to reposition itself to where it was, at the head of business related mobile use has announced new updates for several apps such as Facebook, Twitter, BlackBerry Travel, BBM Music and BlackBerry App World that will now include BlackBerry Messenger integration. It seems like although Research in Motion (RIM) want to reaffirm its ‘business-oriented’ standpoint, the company does not want to lose its current subscribers and loyal customers.

What this update brings to the table for consumers is that they can now automatically share their Facebook and Twitter updates with BBM friends from right within the respective application they are in. Over 800 BlackBerry apps already have this functionality, and it’s clear that RIM is going to continue to leverage integration like this with the secure technology on its platform. While the Canadian company has seen a sharp decline in their brand’s demand over the last couple of years, is integrating BBM into popular applications enough to not just keep it afloat but to blow it out of the water? What do you think about this? Let us know with a comment below. As for the die-hard BlackBerry enthusiasts, this bit of information should put a smile on your face.
