Apple Job Opening Indicates Possible Glasses-Free 3D Device in the Future

The Cupertino-based technology giants, Apple seem to be on the hunt for an engineer who reportedly “strengthen its multi-view stereo research group” which is a group attached to working on the iOS platform for iPads and iPhones. This might indicate that previous rumors about Apple going the 3D way on the next installments of the iPad and iPhone might be coming to fruition but then again it could just be for research. For example a while back, the fact that Apple had hired a few people whose work related heavily with wearable computers was buzzing on the internet but until today, there has been no word on Apple building any such object.

Another possibility is that Apple is just thinking of filling up their arsenal with even more patents. After all that is said and done, there is still a small chance that Apple is looking to get ahead in the 3D industry while consumers still find it intriguing. For now, it seems that the audiences still differ on their opinions about 3D technology. Some people say it hurts their eyes, some say it gives them motion sickness while there are even some that say it looks absolutely fake but when the industry does bloom, it would be wise for a company like Apple to be reader to take advantage of it, so this job opening could be either pointing towards that direction or something else. Whatever it is, it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see. It is exciting though.
