Android’s Instagram Gets 1 Million Downloads in Less Than a Day

According to the numbers from Google Play Store, the famous formerly iOS based photography application Instagram has already hit 1 million downloads for Android devices. In less than a day of it being available the application has already hit an immense number which goes to show that the 430,000 people who signed up on the applications homepage was not even near the exact figure of people looking to download it when it was finally released yesterday.

According to TheVerge, the 1 million mark in less than a day is comparable to the amount of downloads for the Customer Preview of Windows 8. To deliver on promises that it made, Instagram has already rolled out an update for the application which will be fixing minor bugs and crashes but it is their intention to fix everything that needs to be fixed so that they will be able to bridge the differences to provide users with a consistent experience across both iOS and Android without favoritism.
