Our friends over at AnandTech have discovered another extremely amazing reason (among many) as to why you should purchase the new iPad. Depending on whether the variant of your new iPad is WiFi or LTE, you should be able to get a battery life of between 8.5 to 9.3 hours. However, if you keep your Verizon new iPad on as a hotspot with its display switched off, you can use it as an LTE personal hotspot for roughly over 24 hours.

While it would certainly be one of the most expensive MiFi devices in the market, the new iPad also has the capability to be a top notch tablet and compared to other MiFi devices (basically paperweights), this one lasts 5-7 times longer. As far as carriers go, Only Verizon is currently offering the LTE Hotspot functionality for the new iPad. Though AT&T is expected to  turn on the feature soon, the new iPad is not the most conventional MiFi device but it might be a relief to know that should you need it, it is an option for you.
