Ubisoft Mobile Games to Have Cloud-based Saving

In an interview with the folks over at Pocket-lint, all of Ubisoft’s mobile games in the future will come with a cloud-based save game feature. This goes to say that you can continue your game from exactly where you left regardless of what device you use. Chris Early who is Head of Digital at Ubisoft, said that they would have a cloud-based storage system for your data.

Early also added that the company will implement the service with its upcoming game release, Ghost Recon Commander. The game will have the cloud-based save feature which would allow players to take up exactly where they had previously left off whether they played on Facebook or any mobile device. Pocket-lint assumes that the system will run on Ubisoft’s own UPlay central service.

While the service will soon come to Ubisoft, Early adds, “As a player, I absolutely hope that game saves across multiple devices will be like this in the future (for all games).” This issue is not something new as Apple has previously mentioned that they hope to introduce cloud save-game storage for all games via Game Center in the upcoming iOS and Mountain Lion updates.
