Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners who have been waiting for a software update to version 4.0.5 will only have to wait a little longer according to @Black_man_X who needs to introduction in the Android world. He claims that Verizon is beta testing the next update and while we have seen version 4.0.4 leak earlier, it was never officially released.

While this is not the first time that we have heard of Android 4.0.5 ICS, it was leaked that it was coming to the Nexus S by April not to mention other rumors regarding the update rolling out over the next few weeks. According to Black_man_X, version 4.0.5 is being beta tested as we speak and that it currently runs extremely well on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

While his comments suggest that 4.0.5 will fix many of the problems currently on the devices he only confirmed that the UI and launcher were the same and that the update mainly address internal issues such as the audio reboot issue, battery life problems, data falling asleep and that the update would most probably bring a new radio along with it. If everything does go as he says it would, we would not have to wait long, just a few more weeks in fact.
