Nokia’s Play To Beta brings DLNA streaming to Lumia Windows Phones

Just after the release of a new Windows Phone photo effects application called Creative Studio (which offers a panorama mode without 3rd party applications), Nokia has gone straight back to the grassroots and released both an updated version of its Music app as well as a DLNA streaming app simple called ‘Play To’. ‘Play To’ will allow Lumia users to stream photo and video content to various DLNA-compatible devices.

Before you get bummed about the fact that music streaming is not mentioned, ‘Play To’ is still in beta mode so don’t fret. That isn’t the only problem with it because there are several known issues regarding the application. However Nokia has opened it out for users to try at the Nokia Beta Labs site and provide feedback to hasten the development and thus make the release faster as well.

Also an addition for Lumia users is an update for the stock Music Player which can be found in the Windows Marketplace. The updated Music 2.0 app is simply a minor update with no new features worth highlighting.
