Nokia named as most-wanted brand in Vuclip survey

A global survey conducted by streaming video providers Vuclip has revealed some very intriguing statistics on phone preferences. When people were asked what mobile brand they wanted to buy next, the biggest vote was Nokia. Not only was the selection a big surprise, the margin by which they won was also a surprising figure. They edged out their closest competitor with 36.9% of the vote with the second at 24.8% and the third at 20.8%.

The second point of interest from the survey was the differing factor of phone selection between men and women. The factors were price, features and the screen and they were to be put in order or which factor would lie most heavily on your selection of a phone. For women, it seemed that the top factor that was considered was the features followed by the screen and pricing was the third. Men on the other hand, said that price was the most important factor, followed by the features with the screen bringing up the rear.

Although there is no mention of the methodology used to conduct this survey and the various skews the researcher might have had are unknown, we do know that more than half a million phone users across 188 countries took part in the survey. Do let us know if you agree with what was said in the survey in the comments below.
