BlackBerry loyalist directs new commercial for them – It’s Not a Toy

Just as RIM’s #BeBold campaign is in full swing, a hardcore fan of BlackBerry who also happens to be a director in Hand Hammered Films decided to film a short commercial for the BlackBerry Bold to help them out. The catchy, short and straight-to-the-point advertisement reminds viewers that the BlackBerry is not a toy (gaming, watching videos and other entertaining endeavours) and insists that it is very good at what it is supposed to be good at doing (e-mails, word documents, keeping track of busy days, etc.)

From online reports, the director of the short clip was put-off that people were opting for other devices over the BlackBerry when it clearly fulfilled all business needs for what he assumes is a very large business oriented community. In response to how people in general were responding to BlackBerry phones, he decided to direct and release the “advertisement” to remind them of why the phone was in such demand in the first place.
