HTC has announced that it is about to wipe out all its customers data for the backup service offered by HTCSense.com in an effort to revamp the service for future users. HTC users that use HTCSense.com functions to backup their Contacts, Messages, Footprints and Call History will have to either download their data by 30th April or lose it in the complete data wipe.

HTCSense was launched in 2010 with along with great expectations that HTC users had a service similar to Apple’s iCloud but while the latter has been flying upwards and going from strength to strength, HTCSense seems to have come across a hiccup in the system. HTC has sent its users a letter warning them to take the necessary precautions but did not mention what changes were being made to the service feature. All we can do in the meantime is to advise all users to hurry up and delete all your information and hope that this is a case of things getting worse before they get better.
