Google to Launch Online Tablet Store

Online reports suggest that Google is in the planning stages to come up with an online store which would allow consumers to purchase tablets. The store that will eventually be launched by Google is said to sell their own tablets but other rumors state that Asus and Samsung tablets might also be put on the shelves. Although Google is yet to make any mention of the purported store, it is reported that it intends on taking the fight to Apple with its tablet sales online via the store.

The idea is nothing new as Google has had a hardware store online before. But as readers might remember, the store was nowhere near a success when it launched in the year 2010. The store sold the first Google made Nexus One which deemed to go through sluggish numbers as the device was also on sale at various mobile retailers as well as the fact that a number of carriers also offered it. This time however, Google is hoping that its plans of launching an online store for tablets will go better than its last as the competition between tablets have been on the up since 2011.
