Dell to Stop Smartphone Sales in U.S

If you are an avid fan of Dell smartphones and you also live in U.S, we regrettably inform you that you will not be able to purchase a Dell smartphone in the land of the free anymore because the company has allegedly stopped their sales of smartphones in the U.S. From online reports, it seems that the company has decided to reinvent their mobile strategy in order to concentrate on higher margin profits and upcoming markets.

According to our friends over at PC World, the company will no longer offer replacements on the Dell Venue and Dell Venue Pro because they believe that those “smartphones have run their course”. The company has issued a statement which indicates that Dell will in fact be delivering more mobile products in the U.S later but there was no indication of “mobile devices” meaning smartphones. They also added that mobility products had a shorter lifespan than that of desktops and laptops which was a contributing factor to their decision.

With the abrupt sales halt of both the Dell Venue and Dell Venue Pro, the company no longer has a smartphone share in America and while the company proceeds to sell its smartphones in countries like South Korea, Japan, China and India, citizens of the U.S will only be privileged to have access to their other products. Do leave us a comment below about how you feel regarding Dell’s decision.
