Apple’s response to overheating claims; chill

After going on sale and hitting record sales, several users of the new iPad have taken to the internet and reported over-heating issues. Even here in Uberphones, we have covered the issue in a previous article. In response to those claims, Apple’s spokeswoman Trudy Miller has basically told everyone to relax and even goes on to list out what the new iPad comes packed with, without mentioning why she is citing each and every item on the list.

Her full response to the claims is as follows. “The new iPad delivers a stunning Retina display, A5X chip, support for 4G LTE plus 10 hours of battery life, all while operating well within our thermal specifications. “ If customers have any concerns, they should contact Apple Care.”

Their response does not have any answers and they have chosen to brush off the claims rather than acknowledge that there is a problem. However, in Apple’s defence, their operating temperature spec requires the new iPad to run between 0-35 degrees Celcius and during the thermal test by Tweakers, while performing the GL benchmark it ran within the parameters at 33.6 degrees Celcius.
