Sound Cover for iPad comes with built-in speakers

Let’s face it, the iPad 2’s speakers are far from amazing. Sure they might sound somewhat decent when you use your tablet in a quiet place, but if you wanted to take it out with you perhaps to a friend’s BBQ or watch some video clips while sipping a hot coffee at a cafe, that’s when the speakers become pretty much useless.

Short of actually buying and bringing a pair of speakers with you wherever you go, this Kickstarter project called Sound Cover has plans to allow you to enjoy videos and music via your iPad even in noisy environments. The project was started by Petur Hannes Olafsson who is the founder and manager of Nordic Enterprises and basically what he has done here is combine a set of speakers and integrate it into an iPad cover as pictured above.

According to the description, the Sound Cover will boost your iPad’s volume by as much as 300%, boost the bass level, feature a long lasting battery life of over 12 hours and will double up as a viewing stand. The Sound Cover will connect to your iPad via the headphone jack or you can opt for the wireless version that will pair with your iPad via Bluetooth. If you wish to learn more about the Sound Cover or if you wish to help fund the project, head on down to their Kickstarter page for more info.
