Prepaid customers on Verizon’s network will be pleased to know that the carrier has launched the LG Extravert. Unfortunately it will not be a smartphone running on any of the popular smartphone platforms, but for those on prepaid and would like a slideout QWERTY phone, the LG Extravert priced at $109.99 might be something worth taking a look at.

It will run on LG’s feature phone touch OS, feature a 2.8” WQVGA display, a 2MP camera, a microSD card slot, and for those who are environmentally conscious, the LG Extravert will be packed in a box made out of 76% worth of recycled materials, with the manual made out of 60% recycled materials and the battery cover of the phone itself is said to be comprised of 30% of recycled materials.

It will also come bundled with a media player of its own, social networking software and will be available from Verizon’s prepaid web store.
