Nokia Maps will make its way onto other Windows Phone devices

One of the features that Nokia Windows Phone devices have over other Windows Phone devices would be Nokia Maps and the Nokia Drive app. However it looks as though the former will be making its way onto other Windows Phone handsets as a free app, but the good news for Nokia users is that Nokia Drive appears to remain an exclusive feature for them.

Windows Phone devices will come bundled with Bing Maps, but with the addition of Nokia Maps, Windows Phone users will be able to access to certain maps or areas that Bing may not have covered.

As we had mentioned earlier, the Nokia Drive app which provides voice guided turn by turn instructions, will not be making its way onto non-Nokia devices, but in place of Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps on non-Nokia devices will feature detailed maps in satellite, 2D and 3D views, local points of interest details and deep link support. The Nokia Maps app is expected to be made available for download within the next couple of weeks.
