Some time last month, it was revealed that while the US only just started getting their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S2, South Korean users would be seeing an upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE, which as the name implies, would see the phone getting an upgrade in display as well as adding LTE capabilities.

The good news is that the device has made its way through the FCC and has been approved. For those wondering about the difference, the Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM and the 4.65” Super AMOLED 720×1280 display with Gorilla Glass.

No word on when it will actually hit the US market, but it’s good to know that those living in the US will eventually be able to get their hands on a LTE version of the Galaxy S2.
