With AT&T’s plans to start rolling out LTE coverage, what they need now is several LTE capable handsets to start getting the ball rolling. A new Samsung device with the model number i727 has recently been spotted at the FCC sporting AT&T’s LTE radios inside of it, which means that this could be one of the devices AT&T will be rolling out that will be compatible with their LTE network.

Unfortunately as to what the Samsung i727 is remains unknown. Some are speculating that it could be a 4G LTE version of AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S II handset, but unfortunately it’s just speculation, although it would be pretty cool. It looks like we will have to wait and find out more.
