Amazon’s Kindle is a well-known e-reader and it’s not surprising that they plan to bring those e-reader capabilities over to their upcoming Android tablets. According to a Wall Street Journal report, it looks like Amazon may be introducing an annual library subscription model with their upcoming tablet, allowing users to access older books.

The content is said to be made available for Amazon Prime users who are currently paying $79 a year for unlimited 2-day shipping options on their purchases, as well as access to digital movies and TV shows on its website.

No word on when the tablet will be launched although according to various rumors, at least one Amazon tablet is expected to see a launch in October this year, and it will be priced competitively in order to make it a more attractive purchase.

E-book readers, does the library subscription model sound like something you could get on board with, and purchase Amazon’s tablet in the process?
