Samsung SGH-i927 passes through the FCC

It appears that the Samsung SGH-i927 has made its way to the FCC. It has been speculated that this device could possibly be a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II device, except with a keyboard. If this is true, it will probably make those who prefer a physical keyboard very happy, as not only will it come with a slideout keyboard, but if it is indeed a variant of the Galaxy S II, its hardware specs will be pretty impressive to boot.

Unfortunately other rumors/speculations have indicated that AT&T’s Galaxy S II will be fully touchscreen, which means that the SGH-i927 could be making its way to another carrier. No LTE radios present in the device, so hopes of a 4G capable Galaxy S II version have been dashed. No word on when the device will be making an appearance, although given how long the US has been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S II while the rest of the world gets to enjoy it, let’s hope that it will be soon.
