Logitech’s tablet speakers attach to your iPad

When it comes to speaker systems for tablets, they tend to be bulky and space consuming, despite companies claiming them to be small and portable. After all, laying out your set of speakers at the table on Starbucks looks rather unsightly, doesn’t it? Well it looks like Logitech has come up with a solution with their own tablet speakers, which they have dubbed the Tablet Speaker for iPad, although contrary to its name, it should be able to attach to just about any tablet that is as thin, if not thinner, than the iPad.

It clips on to the edge of your iPad, which means it could work horizontally or vertically, and comes with a standard 3.5mm audio jack which connects to the headphone jack on your tablet.

It recharges via USB and Logitech is boasting 8 hours of battery life. It can also double up as a stand to prop your iPad up when typing or watching videos. It will retail for $50 and comes bundled with a travel case, but no specifications have been given just yet. It appears to be a pretty elegant solution for tablets, anyone have plans to get their hands on it?
