Huawei Sonic spotted at the FCC

Looking for a budget-friendly Android smartphone? A while back we reported on the Huawei Sonic which unfortunately was available only to Turkey at that time. The good news is that it has recently been spotted at the FCC, which mans there’s a chance we might be seeing the handset hit the states some time in the near future, hopefully.

However at that time of reporting we mentioned that it was sporting a “T-Moblie” sticker, which we assumed was a typo for “T-Mobile”, and given the recent FCC filing, we don’t think it’s a stretch to think that it is indeed headed towards T-Mobile’s way.

Unfortunately it appears that the NFC technology that was present in Turkey’s version of the phone is not in the FCC filing, which means for whatever reason, Huawei has decided to ditch NFC for the version that may be coming to the states.
