First WP7 Nokia device to be unveiled 17th August?

Back in June, we reported that a Nokia device running on Windows Phone 7 was “accidentally” revealed by Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop. The device was code named “Sea Ray” and apart from its looks and designs and its platform, not much else was known about it.

It’s no secret that Nokia has placed all their bets on the Windows Phone 7 platform to revive their dying status within the smartphone market, and come August the 17th all (or some) will be revealed. It appears that Nokia has sent out invites that are calling people to attend a Nokia and Microsoft party which will be held in Cologne, Germany.

While we can’t be sure that Nokia will be officially unveiling their first (or line-up) Windows Phone 7 devices, given Microsoft’s participation and second billing on the invite, it doesn’t leave much to the imagination. I guess we will have to wait and find out, so stay tuned!
