Archos Arnova 8 G2 shows up at the FCC

With tablets gaining a huge following and seeing an increase in popularity, just about everybody wants one. Go out to Starbucks or even on the train ride home and you will see someone with a tablet. If the Android based Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or Apple’s iPad 2 is too expensive and is out of your reach, then perhaps going budget might be the way to go.

The Archos Arnova 8 G2 is such a budget, with a pricing that is speculated to be between $149-$200 which seems like a pretty good deal for a 1GHz processor with a 800×600 resolution along with the ability to playback 720p videos. Unfortunately no word on which version of Android it will come shipped with but given that it was spotted at the FCC lately, we’re thinking that it’s only a matter of time before we see it hit the shelves.
