Perhaps not exactly the same Galaxy S II model that some parts of the world will be rocking, but rather this is the Samsung i777 which is a variant of the Galaxy S II model, except this time, according to the FCC filings, it will come with NFC technology. It even utilizes 850 / 1900 bands in the WCDMA / HSPA variety, which means that users on AT&T, Bell, Telus and Rogers networks could very well see the Samsung i777 make its way to them.

Given that the device is expected to be making an appearance in August, consumers eager to get their hands on the NFC-enabled version of the Galaxy S II will not have to wait much longer.
