Oak Trail based ViewSonic ViewPad 10pro spotted at the FCC

Enterpriseusers who have been eyeing the ViewSonic ViewPad 10pro ever since it was unveiled all the way back in February will be happy to know that it was spotted at the FCC quite recently. Granted this does not mean we will be seeing it next week or next month, but it’s still good to know that it is one step closer to being released to the masses.

While in terms of looks, the ViewPad 10pro is reminiscent of some of ViewSonic’s other 10-inch offerings, underneath it packs a completely different processor. Unlike some of its other siblings who have packed NVidia’s Tegra-2 or an Atom N455 processor, the ViewPad 10pro instead will be featuring an Oak Trail Atom Z760 chip.

It should pack a 10-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600, featuring up to 2GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, HDMI, full sized USB 2.0, 4-in-1 card reader, SIM card slot, audio jacks and reportedly possesses a 6-7 hour battery life. It should also be available in two models – one with Windows 7 HP and another with a dual-boot of Windows 7 starter and Android.
