Mango beta unofficially available on all Windows Phone devices

The Mango update for Windows Phone 7 should be coming soon, but if you can’t wait to get your hands on it, and if you’re not a developer, there is now a way for you to get the update on your device, thanks to the good folks down at XDA Developers. Take note that this is the unofficial version of the Mango update, and it’s still in beta which means there could be a couple of things wrong with it that may detract from the overall user experience.

In order to perform the upgrade, you would first need Windows Phone Support Tools installed on your Windows-based computer, download the Mango beta, load up Zune and connect the device to the computer, where you will then be prompted to install the beta on to your device. It doesn’t sound like a complicated process, but once again, certain risks are involved when going down the unofficial path, but if you just can’t wait to get your hands on Mango, head down to the XDA forums here for more information.
