Foursquare For Windows Phone 7 Gets A Redesign

Published

on

Good news Foursquare users on Windows Phone 7, the app has been redesigned and has brought about a host of new features that has been designed around the Windows Phone 7’s platform. Previously the app had been pulled off the Marketplace due to lack of features, and has since been replaced by apps that mimic Foursquare, such as 4th and Mayor, which provided a better user experience overall.

However we’re guessing now with the impending release of the Mango update for Windows Phone 7, Foursquare got their act together and put out a redesigned app. The design has been reworked to better fit Microsoft’s Metro design that is used in their Windows Phone 7 platform. Some of the newer features include check-in’s via tap and hold and a live tile has been added. Users can also now view a map of nearby specials or where their friends are checked-in.

The version 2.0 app can be found in the Windows Phone Marketplace and like all other Foursquare apps on other platforms, it is free.
