Verizon And US Cellular To Trade Spectrum?

Published

on

Perhaps in a show to AT&T and T-Mobile on how to better manage your spectrum, Verizon and US Cellular are reported to be trading spectrums in various states as both carriers have filed formal requests at the FCC.

Verizon wants to give U.S. Cellular some of its 700Mhz spectrum holdings in Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Washington in exchange for 1900Mhz PCS spectrum that U.S. Cellular has in Illinois and Indiana.

For those who live in those states hopefully should benefit by the additional spectrum either carrier will be having. No date on when this swap will be happening so stay tuned.
