Sprint Puts In Formal Request To Stop AT&T Acquisition Of T-Mobile

We all know that Sprint was one of the loudest voices to speak up against AT&T’s acquisition of T-Mobile, citing that it would end up creating a duopoly in which Sprint would not be able to survive and would be required to be bought over. Now it looks like Sprint has taken it one step further and this time instead of just voicing out their concerns, they have made it official by putting in a formal request to the FCC to deny AT&T’s acquisition of T-Mobile.

In their request Sprint outlines three main reasons why the AT&T’s acquisition should be denied:

  1. The buyout would hurt the broadband economy, competition, and consumers;
  2. It would harm innovation and investment;
  3. It has no public interest benefit

So do you think Sprint’s voice will be heard? It does look as if Sprint is the only one fighting against this.
