Nokia’s First Few WP7 Devices Will Be Launched In Europe

As we all know Nokia will be making Windows Phone 7 devices as per their partnership with Microsoft but now it looks like those of us living in the States will not have the good fortune of being the first to experience what Nokia has to offer in terms of their Windows Phone 7 devices.

Perhaps unintentionally, a Nokia executive let slip that the first few Windows Phone 7 devices will be making their way to European countries, namely France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK as the market for Nokia phones there is still strong. Victor Saeijs, VP for Nokia Europe also gave the confirmation that the first new Nokia WP7 devices will be making an appearance this year although he did not confirm that Europe will be the lucky ones to get the devices first.

It’s not a personal affront to those living in the States and it only makes sense for Nokia to release their debut phones in a country (Spain) where 65 percent of all smartphone users  are Nokia users, compared to the States where over 40 percent of the smartphone market is dominated by Android. Either way, first or not, we can’t wait to see what Nokia will have in store for us this year.
