Droid X’s Gingerbread Update May Kill Your Phone

Published

on

I’m sure many Motorola Droid X users were quite excited when the Gingerbread 2.3 update was finally pushed to their device, but their happiness may be shortlived as  there is an increasing amount of users experiencing issues after the update. Multiple users have been experiencing their device freezing after the update and had to resort to pulling out the battery, but even after that it had some issues booting up.

Android updates have usually been a rather buggy affair so this won’t be the first time but for users who have yet to update their Droid X, perhaps you should hold out for the less buggy version before updating.

So far there have been no solutions to combat this problem except to hope that your device will boot properly, and perhaps a less buggy version will be out soon. Alternatively you could always call Verizon’s customer support and they should be more than happy to help you.
