Cellular South Gets HTC 7 Pro

It looks like more Windows Phone 7 devices are starting to hit the market as Cellular South picks up the HTC 7 Pro and by all accounts it should be out today. It will set you back $199.99 for a standard 2-year contract and if you were wondering about it’s specifications the HTC 7 Pro should not differ much from Sprint’s version, known as the HTC arrive.

Anyway on the front is a 3.6-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, and under the hood it is running on Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor coupled with 576MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM and 8GB of user storage with no microSD card slot for expandable storage. The back features a 5MP camera with a LED flash which also allows for 720p shooting, and most importantly it will feature a slideout QWERTY keyboard for those of you who prefer typing on physical buttons.

It’s good to know that more and more carriers are starting to adopt the Windows Phone 7 platform, perhaps the Mango update announced Microsoft has gotten not only users but the carriers excited at the possibilities as well.
