Xperia Play Going For $99 On Amazon

So it seems that Amazon is on some kind of deal frenzy, first by pricing Lady GaGa’s album at $0.99 and now it looks like they have an amazing deal going on for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play device which is going at $99.99 for new Verizon customers. However if you’re an existing customer eligible for an upgrade well it’s only going to cost you $150 which is still a pretty damn good deal considering Verizon had it originally priced at $199.99 for a two-year contract.

While the device won’t be launched until the 26th it looks like Amazon is showing that the phone is already back-ordered so if you had your eye on the Xperia Play perhaps now is a good time as any to get your hands on it. The Xperia Play will be running on Google’s Android Gingerbread 2.3 and will come packaged with seven free games – Madden NFL 11, Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, The Sims 3, Star Battalion, Crash Bandicoot, and Tetris. Verizon says that there will be more than 50 other titles available to download at launch through V CAST Apps, the carrier’s own mobile app store.

Additional Features:

  • 1 GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon® II processor with Adreno 205 GPU
  • Adobe® Flash® Player
  • 4-inch multi-touch display
