Remember the unofficial Windows Phone 7 updater we covered earlier? Well, according to Microsoft, making use of the updater will render your phones unable to receive any official updates in the future. It hasn’t been confirmed if it’s just a way to scare users or it’s the truth, but it certainly is going to sway a lot of people away from updating their phones unofficially. However, for those of you who can’t wait for an update, chances are you won’t be able to wait for future updates anyway and will probably be getting them through unofficial means.
