Windows Phone 7 app developer hits the jackpot

Folks looking to get into the app development market might want to give Windows Phone 7 a shot. According to a recent case study released by Microsoft Advertising, they highlighted a developer who managed to earn an impressive $28,882 in just 4 months. While it’s not the same level of success as Angry Birds from Rovio, it still shows that app developers can make a decent living on the platform. The developer, Richard Foster, has 14 free apps available on the Windows Marketplace and earns money from all of them through the use of ads. With most of the apps being simple programs like unit convertors, it also shows that there is a demand for everything on the Windows Marketplace, and with the platform relatively new at the moment, there are a lot of opportunities for developers to fill in the gaps.
