One thing people usually fear about getting a device with a brand new operating system – the lack of apps. Fortunately for RIM’s upcoming tablet running on QNX – this won’t be a problem. According to an official announcement from the company, the BlackBerry PlayBook will support BlackBerry Java and Android apps. All developers will have to do is repackage the code to make it compatible with the tablet, it’s that simple. This means that we should be seeing our favorite BlackBerry and Android apps making their way to the PlayBook in no time. If BlackBerry Java and Android isn’t enough, the PlayBook will also support Native C/C++, HTML5, Flash and AIR – talk about having options. How many of you will be picking up this tablet once it lands in April?
