[MWC 2011] Still can’t believe that Nokia and Microsoft have cut a deal over Windows Phone 7? Well, you’ll probably get used to it soon as pictures of a Windows Phone 7-powered Nokia device have been unveiled and Nokia Smart Devices lead Jo Harlow has confirmed that its prototype is real. The device looks vaguely familiar since it resembles the existing C7, though we assume it’ll have better specifications since WP7 requires a Snapdragon processor or better. The pictures also show the phone in multiple colors, something that Nokia is used to doing too. It was hinted that the phone could be ready in 2011, and we certainly hope that it the case.

On a related note, Nokia’s CEO, Stephen Elop, denied accusations that he’s a Microsoft mole sent to push Windows Phone 7 at a rival company to artificially inflate its market share. While it would be a great story for conspiracy theorists, he pointed out that the organizational structure made it difficult to pull off such a stunt as the entire management team was involved and the board of directors had the final say on whether the platform switch went ahead or not.
