Android 2.3 caught running on Motorola Droid X

Motorola hasn’t issued any official Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for their Droid X smartphone just yet, but that doesn’t mean someone else cannot do so. An unofficial looking Android 2.3 update was seen running on a wild Motorola Droid X, where it will also feature a seemingly improved Motoblur skin which might just help it close the gap with HTC’s Sense UI on other Android-powered smartphones. Since the leaked image from My Droid World did not specify its source, this might not be an official update that leaked out early, although we do have our fingers crossed that this is the real deal, and Droid X owners in the US can be patient for a little while more about the arrival of Gingerbread.
