The LG Optimus 2X that was first discovered in leaked videos awhile ago is finally available to the public. The Optimus 2X is the world’s first dual-core Android phone was just put on sale in South Korea today. The phone will be sold by SK Telecom, and is going on sale for $50 to $240 depending on the contract selected. The LG Optimus 2X comes with a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, Android 2.2 (2.3 to be available soon after release), a 4″ WVGA screen, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, 1080p HDMI output, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

It’s no surprise that LG decided to launch the phone for sale in their homeland first, but we wait in anticipation for the day that it makes its way to our shores. While we’re still left waiting for any official news of the phone in America, the folks in UK have it better than us. The Optimus 2X is already available for pre-order – £499.99 off-contract or for free on a Vodafone 18/24 month contract. Anyone in the US looking forward to this phone as well?
