Class action lawsuit filed against Samsung and T-Mobile

It looks like some people finally have had enough of Samsung and T-Mobile’s antics delaying Android 2.2. Upset and let down by the lack of updates and support for the T-Mobile Samsung Fascinate, an XDA-developers member has filed a class action lawsuit against T-Mobile and Samsung. Samsung has been promising the Android 2.2 update to all Galaxy S devices for a long time, but most of them have yet to see the light of day. To make matters worse, the very same phones that are on non-American carriers have been receiving the updates before their American counterparts that came out earlier. It certainly isn’t a problem on their side if they can release the update for one carrier but not the other – something is up but nobody is coming clean with the story. The prosecutor has been told by his lawyers that he has a strong case against them for violating the Deceptive Trade Practices in the US. It is uncertain how successful this lawsuit will be, but hopefully it will be a wakeup call for Samsung and the other carriers to do something about the situation. Head here to find out more info about the lawsuit and to offer your support or opinion.
