Today sure is an exciting day for Android updates. With the Desire getting an OTA update, and Android 2.3 announced, it seems like Droid X users aren’t going to be left out of the party. According to some reports online, an over the air (OTA) update has been appearing on Verizon’s Droid X devices. Unfortunately this isn’t the Gingerbread update but it updates your phone’s software version to 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.USIBP_C_01.09.07P. Even though it’s not Android 2.3, it still brings a bunch of new features to the phone and improves the operating system’s stability. The update includes: a preloaded Madden NFL football game (hooray to NFL fans), Adobe Flash Player 10.1, MyVerizon app (v5), a Data Widget on the home panel, Exchange Activesync and Visual Voicemail fixes. Keep checking your phone for any update notification, and don’t worry if you haven’t got it yet- it should be heading your way very soon. If you’ve updated your Droid X, let us know how it works out for you.
