Samsung Focus volume boost now permanent

Apparently some folks have been unsatisfied with volume level on their Samsung Focus. A tweak was then figured out after awhile to help solve this but it wasn’t permanent as a reboot caused the settings to reset. Well some clever folks at XDA-developers found a way to make the volume settings stick. Now you can turn you’re the Windows Phone 7 device into the boombox it was never intended to be. If you’re having trouble listening to audio on your Samsung Focus, you could try cleaning your ears first and if that doesn’t work, hit the break for instructions on tweaking your phone’s volume settings. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Boost Speaker Volume

  • Enter the dialer
  • ##634#  –> Call
  • *#0002*28346#
  • Click Get under the Device Gain (max/min)
  • In the first box keep the number 7
  • In the second box put 16000
  • In the third box put 0
  • Click Set
  • Click Start
  • Click the home button
  • Restart your phone. To verify the setting took click the get button and it should show your values

Boost Headphone Volume

  • Plug in headphones
  • Enter the dialer
  • ##634#  –> Call
  • *#0002*28346#
  • Click Get under the Device Gain (max/min)
  • in ‘device gain’ leave number 5, set 1100 (max) and -1100 (low)
  • Click Set
  • MAKE SURE AUDIENCE.CFG IS ON
  • Click Start
  • Click the home button
  • Restart your phone. To verify the setting took click the get button and it should show your values
