Motorola DROID XOOM won’t be a 4G tablet

Looks like the upcoming Honeycomb tablet from Motorola won’t be the 4G LTE beast that we all imagined. According to Droid-Life, they have received confirmation that the Android tablet will be called the DROID XOOM, run Honeycomb (Android 3.0) but won’t have 4G LTE support. Because it has been reported that the Motorola DROID XOOM won’t have any 4G LTE radios built into it. At least for now. Maybe we’ll have a USB slot to plug in one of Verizon’s nifty modems in the mean time? A 4G LTE version can come later. I can’t help feel but let down because of their countdown to CES has the tagline “Ready to skip a generation?” Unless Motorola doesn’t think that 4G LTE is next generation material, 4G LTE inclusion should be a no-brainer. Any thoughts?
