LG Optimus U launching at US Cellular on December 13

It looks like LG is following in Samsung’s footsteps by launching a rebranded Optimus One phone on the major carriers in the states. A trend that’s worked so well for the Galaxy S seems to be paying off for LG. After hitting one million sales in 40 days, it looks like things can only get better for the Korean manufacturer and their entry-level Android device. They have recently announced the LG Optimus U for US Cellular’s network. In case you didn’t know, the Optimus U will have a 3.2″ touchscreen, a 600 MHz processor, a 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Android 2.2. The phone will be free (after an $80 mail-in rebate) with a 2-year contract on US Cellular. It will be available on December 13, just in time for Christmas. I wonder how many more rebranded Optimus One phones LG will be releasing. Which carrier do you think will get it next?
