Today is going to be an exciting day- Windows Phone 7 makes its commercial debut in the American market. After being out in other parts of the world for a few weeks, Microsoft’s operating system that spearheads their redemption in the mobile world is finally here. The Microsoft online store have already put up their phones for sale- the HTC HD 7 (on T-Mobile), HTC Surround and Samsung Focus (AT&T) will all cost $200 with a 2 year contract from their respective carriers. The Dell Venue Pro (T-Mobile) is also rumored to make its appearance in stores today as well. With mostly positive feedback about the phone so far, it looks like Microsoft has pulled up their socks. But they still have a long way to go in terms of catching up with their competitors. If you’re looking for a WP7 this week and are unsure of what to get, you might want to take a look at our reviews for the HTC Surround and Samsung Focus from our sister site, Ubergizmo.
