Use Windows Phone 7 to control a toy missile launcher

The line between an open-source and a closed operating system seems to be blurring. Whoever said that Windows Phone 7 wouldn’t be able to do things like Android should recheck their facts- a student managed to program an app for his WP7 phone which can be used to control a mini-missile launcher. Sure, it’s only a toy missile launcher, but look at how easy the launcher was being controlled. Imagine if the technology was up scaled and paired up with a real missile launcher? If that happens, in the future we might start to see the use of Windows Phone 7 in the military. Watch the video of the remote controlled toy missile launcher after the break:
