Ever wondered why all the Windows Phone 7 devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor? Well, the answer has finally been revealed. In a recent post on the Qualcomm video blog, Qualcomm talk about optimizations that have been made to their processors in order to ensure that users have the best WP7 experience on their phones. Qualcomm claims to have worked carefully with the phone manufacturers, carriers and Microsoft in the creation of the WP7 phones. With these optimizations, it’s no wonder why other processors haven’t been used in WP7 phones. But does this mean we won’t be seeing any Tegra 2 or Hummingbird processors used for WP7 devices in the future? Watch the video after the break:
